Cody Bertram Obituary
Cody M. Bertram, 33, of Dumont, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2025 in Webster City. A public visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory in Dumont. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory is caring for Cody and his family. Cody Michael Bertram was born on August 2, 1991 to Michael and Valerie (Homer) Bertram. He was a resident of Dumont, Iowa. His absence will continue to leave an everlasting void. He is remembered for his generous heart, kindness and the love he shared with both loved ones and strangers. Cody made a genuine effort to remain loyal to anyone he encountered. He demonstrated the values of solidarity and loyalty every day of his life, even when others might not fully grasp what those words meant. He was brave, bold, trustworthy and he continued to stand tall. A few things he would want us all to remember would be to stay true to ourselves and to be the person who lends a helping hand. We've all shown that nobody in this life is perfect, but in those times when Cody could help, he always made sure to put other people's needs before his own. While we may never fully understand why God decided to take Cody so soon, we can find peace in our hearts, knowing he was welcomed with open arms through those Pearly Gates. Although we may feel a void for quite some time, we will always cherish the memories and the joy he brought into our lives, helping us through the pain. Cody, you will be deeply missed. Know that during your time on this earth, you were loved beyond measure. Cody Bertram is survived by his parents, Valerie Moore and Michael (Tiffany) Bertram of Dumont; his daughter, Finley of Ackley; his special friend, Amber Bonewitz of Minnesota; brother, Justin Moore of Cedar Falls; sister, Staci (Matt) Petersen of Cedar Falls; nieces and nephews: Kale, Karter, Danika and Harper Petersen; aunts and uncles, Erica Hovatter of Waterloo, Tammy (Kelvin) Krull of Clarksville, Jamie (Terry) Crawford of Allison and Matt (Lori) Bertram of Buffalo Center; paternal grandmother, Kathy Hicken and maternal grandmother, Joan Homer, both of Dumont as well as his cousins.
