Dorothy Koenigs Obituary

Dorothy K. Koenigs – Rochester MN Dorothy K. Koenigs left us on Sunday, September 21st. at the age of 81. Dorothy grew up on a farm near Meyer, Iowa where she attend grade school and then several years at Visitation High School. Dorothy lived in Minneapolis at Portland Residence and enjoyed work programs with Cargill, US post office and CIP.with her greatest friends Robbie and DeEtta. Early 90's she moved to Rochester , MN. Bear Creek and Rem homes. Hear she enjoyed SMA, Salvation Army, Possibilities, and Community ED programs. She went to both Disney parks, casinos ,Las Vegas, and spent time with family. Concerts by Brad Boice were her favorite. She enjoyed singing,playing card games, and going out. Birthdays and Christmas were always big days for her and her cousins and friends never failed to send her cards and gifts.She is survived by her sister Margaret Eggenberger, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Joe and Julia Koenigs, sisters Trudy Holmgren, Norma Tripp, and brothers Herman and Peter. Funeral mass October 11, 2025 at 11;30 am Resurrection Catholic Church 1612 11th Ave. S.E. Rochester with a gathering following mass at Eagles 917 15th, Ave. S.E. Rochester, MN.
