Melanie Rosenberg Peterson September 28, 1978 – May 18, 2025 Melanie Rosenberg Peterson, 46, of Kasson, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on May 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Rochester, MN, on September 28, 1978, Melanie lived a life defined by compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication to others. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Concordia University and later received her Master of Science in Project Management from Saint Mary's University. A gifted leader and thoughtful collaborator, Melanie most recently served as a Project Manager at Mayo Clinic, where she played a pivotal role in managing the U.S. COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma Expanded Access Program-an initiative that positively impacted thousands of lives. Melanie was known for her kind smile, generous humor, and ability to make everyone around her feel seen and valued. She listened with her heart and led with empathy, always putting people first in both her professional and personal life. Her presence was a source of light and strength to those who knew her. She especially cherished time spent at the family cabin in the Northwoods of Wisconsin-a place that brought her peace, joy, and deep connection with nature and loved ones. She is survived by her devoted husband, Cory Peterson, and their beloved son, Gage Peterson, of Kasson, MN; her parents, Keith and Teresa Rosenberg of Dover, MN; her brothers, Jeremy (Halie) Rosenberg of Theilman, MN, and their sons Wilson, Jaxon, and Conner, and Ryan Rosenberg (Andrea Olson) of Elgin, MN, and their daughters Alyvia and Cameryn; and her grandparents, Don and Eloise Binder of Rochester, MN. Melanie was preceded in death by her grandparents Lila and Ronald Rosenberg, and her uncle Dan Binder. A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family to honor Melanie's memory. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, supporting the cause that deeply mattered to Melanie. Her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched-with love, laughter, and grace.
