Scott Edblom Obituary

Scott Edblom – Plymouth Scott Warner Edblom, 60, of Plymouth MN died Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Broadwell Senior Living in Plymouth MN. Scott was born December 16, 1964, in Minneapolis, MN to Richard and Georgine (Johnson) Edblom. He graduated from Armstrong High School in 1983. Scott attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN and earned degrees in Math and Physics in 1987. He earned a Master's Degree in Math from UCLA in 1989 and pursued a PhD in Math until 1990. Scott married Traci (Hiscocks) Edblom at the Plummer House in Rochester MN on August 23, 1991. Scott's career as a variable annuity actuary took him and his family to several places. He worked at Merrill Lynch in Flemington, NJ, Western & Southern in Cincinnati, OH, and National Life in Addison, TX. He moved back to MN in 2023. Scott enjoyed nature. He loved to be outside working on the lawn or watching birds. He was intelligent and loved solving sudokus, word scrambles and crossword puzzles. He is survived by his wife, Traci Edblom of Stewartville, MN, his son, Gage Edblom of Austin, TX, and his daughter, Shay Edblom of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by a brother, Mark Edblom of Plymouth, MN, ex sister-in-law, Sue Kerssen, and two nieces, Jessica (Edblom) Fowler and Kristen Edblom of CO. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
