Caroline Albritton Obituary

KINSTON – Caroline Hill Albritton, 94, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at her home. You are invited by her family to come and celebrate her life on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church on Rouse Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A private graveside service will be held in Maplewood Cemetery. Caroline, a longtime resident of Kinston, was a graduate of Greensboro College. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where she served her Lord by arranging flowers for many Sunday services and helped prepare food whenever it was needed. She competed in several local flower arranging competitions, and also served as a Pink Lady for many years at LMH. Caroline enjoyed traveling with her husband and later with her sister. She had a real love of sewing and enjoyed attending sewing classes at LCC. She was cherished by her husband and children. She endured her life with grace, kindness and generosity, always hopeful for each new day. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny Albritton; son Sonny Albritton, Jr.; and a sister, Sara Loftin. Caroline is survived by her daughter, Cooper Moore and husband Keith, of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Greyson Moore and Holly Eppley; great-grandchild, Jayden Eppley; and a sister, Helen Hood. The family wishes to thank all those who cared for her in her home the last few years. Online condolences may be expressed at www.edwardsfhc.com. Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home & Cremations. Sign the guest book at Kinston.com

To the family, I am sorry to hear the news about your loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" sustain your family during this challenging time. Isaiah 61:1,2

Dear Cooper,
I have the fondest of memories of your sweet mother and adored your daddy. Sonny was one of my sweetest guy friends in high school. Growing up in the First Baptist Church was just the best because I got to see all of you on Sundays. Your mothers gracious demeanor, in the midst of deep hurt after such great loss was always something I admired. She and my mother and all of those wonderful FBC ladies arranged so many gorgeous flowers and helped with so many weddings. I enjoyed every opportunity to be around your mom. Please know that my heart and thoughts are with you and your family. Love to all of you.
