In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

There are no words to express how thankful I am to have been blessed with "Ma Hazel" in my life. Memories of Bible School and other church activities will always hold a special place in my heart along with spending the night with Kay. Once our giggling finally was too much, she would tell us to hush and we knew to hush. There is no doubt that she is telling all the Angels above what to do and how to do it. She was a very special lady and thank you so much for sharing your Mama with me. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Love, Susie Holland Pearson

Hazel Smith Family,

Hazel was one of my high school classmates. I did not know that she had been sick. I am so sorry to hear about her passing. May God give you peace and understanding; and, also bless you in a special way. I am sure you have many cherished memories to lean on. My prayers go out to each of you during this time of sorrow.

Mrs. Hazel was a very special lady to Rick and I. She was always so supportive of us in our music ministry. She worked with my mother, Anita Harper, for years, so she was there to share many of the joys of my life. I will remember her often in the days to come. I know how it is to lose your "mama" and my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
