Priscilla Ann Howard Gray

DEEP RUN - Priscilla Ann Howard Gray, affectionately known to all as Syl, of 4687 Mark N. Smith Road was born on May 30, 1943, in Duplin County. After a long battle with scleroderma, she went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2013. Syl began a lifelong career as a dental technician with Dr. Edwards in Pink Hill before starting her own dental lab which she operated for 30 years. One of her favorite hobbies was raising tropical fish which led to her opening Gray's Fish and Water Gardens that she owned and operated for 15 years. As an active member of Deep Run Original Free Will Baptist Church, Syl loved her church and her church family. Syl was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to many. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, William "Bill" Gray of the home; her daughter, Michelle Gray; her son Michael Gray and wife Selina; granddaughter Brooke Gray; grandson Brenden Gray; sister Brenda Tyndall and husband Dene; brother Butch Howard and wife Wanda, all of Deep Run. She is also survived by several special nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at Deep Run Original Free Will Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until Wednesday, November 6 at Pink Hill Funeral Home and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the International Scleroderma Network in care of Bill Hawkins, Deep Run Original Free Will Baptist Church, 3556 Mark N.
