Grandma, from when I was a little girl, your love for me was so rich and so strong that words cannot even begin to explain how much I love you. Near or far, your love was there. My Dad (Thomas) used to always tell that I looked like a McNair. I see myself in you and my aunts so much that even though I wasn't lucky enough to see you much as a child, I always felt loved by my family. And each time you saw me, your smile confirmed that. You embodied all that I strive to be. I am sorry that it took me so long to write this but it hurts to know that you are now longer here yet I feel you all around me. I am so thankful for having a Dad that made sure that I knew you and I am eternally grateful and honored to be your granddaughter.
I love you eternally!

Teen, God won't let us bear any pain we can't handle. I choose to celebrate being exposed to Aunt Sarah. Her wit and sense of humor will surely missed. Sandy and I pray for you and the rest of your family.

Proverbs 31:10 - Who can find a virtous women; Proverbs 31:30 - Favour is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman that fearth the Lord, she shall be praised; Proverbs 31:31 Give her the fruit of her hands and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Mrs. Sarah McNair, my mentor, my advisr,my friend.
Many times when I would need some advice, I would talk to her about certain things. She always gave me encouraging news. Sometimes I would take heed and sometimes I wouldn't,but when I went back to her for a second time, she would tell me "Didn't I tell you what to do?"
Mrs. Mack had plenty of wisdom, a beautiful lady outside and inside. I loved her and she loved me. She had a nice family; they loved the Lord.
To Tony, everything's going to be all right. You have a loving family to take care of you.

Unfortunately, I never met or interacted with Sarah W. McNair or her spouse. Our family is so large and scattered we simply do not know all of our relatives. Regardless, Sarah was loved by those whose lives she touched and will be fondly remembered. For every word that is spoken, in every prayer that is lifted, may family and friends feel God's comforting Love.

Today (July 4, 09) while reading the Kinston Free Press via the internet, I learned of your Mother’s passing. Please accept my sincerest sympathies. My heart and soul goes out to you and family. Your Mother was an outstanding example of true mother-hood. She was one of the patriarchs of our neighborhood and community.
