Vivian Jones Obituary

VANCEBORO - Vivian Huff Jones, of Vanceboro, NC was born on May 3, 1928. She passed away peacefully at home with her family and her companions, her 8 year old Yorkshire Terrier Cody, and her 25 year old Cockatiel Peter, by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Frank Jones and their son Thomas Jones; her parents, Walter Raleigh and Emily Smith Huff; both her sisters, Phebree Huff Brooks and Janice Huff Gaskins; two grandsons, Roger Wolszczenski and David Mayhue, formerly of Virginia Beach; her daughters-in-law, Jennifer Jones and Carolyn Sutton Jones. Vivian is survived by her sons, Walter Bryant and Joseph Harold Jones, both of Vanceboro and her daughter, Emily Jean Wolszczenski, of Virginia Beach, VA; seven grandchildren, Lynn Jones of Vanceboro, Bruce Mayhue of Chesapeake, VA, Tina Calayo of Virginia Beach, VA, Chester Jones of Kinston, William Jones of Greenville, Michael Jones of Kinston and Stephanie Lennon of Hertford; 15 great-grandchildren, Jennifer Davenport of Chocowinity, Jonathan Mayhue of Virginia Beach, VA, Adam and Abigail Mayhue both of Chesapeake, VA, Tori Jones of Kinston, Cheyenne Mayhue of Hopewell, VA, Andrew Jones of Hampton, VA, Christian, Gabe and Noah, all of Virginia Beach, VA, Trinity Jones of Kinston, Cody Jones also of Kinston and Julie, Anna and Taylor Lennon, of Hertford. She also leaves behind one great-great-granddaughter, Nevaeh Richards of Chocowinity; two special daughters-in-law, Carol Leonard Jones of Vanceboro and Vickie Bartlett of La Grange; two sons-in-law, Tom Wolszczenski of Virginia Beach, VA and Bobby Bartlett of La Grange; her grandchildren-in-laws, Jennifer Mayhue of Chesapeake, VA, Manny Calayo of Virginia Beach, VA and Tiffany Jones of Kinston and her grandson-in-laws, Alan Lennon of Hertford and Tony Davenport of Chocowinity. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 25th at 1 p.m. at Farmer Funeral Service. Interment will follow in the Epworth United Methodist Cemetery, 201 Honolulu Road, Vanceboro, NC. Another year has passed without you in our lives. We lost other loved ones, Tom and Bonnie. You loved both of them. I hope you have all met up in heaven for a big get together.
Mama, I miss you everyday. I am trying to do things the way you asked me to. Your love still surrounds us even though we can´t see or touch you.
We talk about you, laugh at sweet memories and continue to love the one person who loved us unconditionally.
