Frank Fruit Obituary

Frank Chester Fruit Haviland, KS - Frank Chester Fruit, 76, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022. He was born on January 3, 1946 in Pratt to Chester Thomas and Edna (Fast) Fruit. Frank married Sandra (Shelton) Fruit on June 30, 1972. They were married for 50 years. Frank graduated from Haviland High School in 1964 and from Pratt Junior College with his associates degree in 1966. He took over his family farm in partnership with his mother while completing high school after his father passed away. He enjoyed farming, model trains and traveling. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Fruit of Haviland, KS; son, John (Sara) Shutts Fruit of Joliet, IL; daughter, Traci (Nicholas) Allen of Pratt, KS; brother, Dan Fruit of Emporia, KS; sister, Ruth Fowler of Emporia, KS; and four grandchildren, Julia Shutts Fruit, David Shutts Fruit, Sydney Allen, and Rose Allen. Frank is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marjory Fowler. Cremation has taken place. Friends may come by and sign the book on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Family Graveside service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Haviland Cemetery in Haviland KS. Memorials may be made to Haviland Heritage Foundation Inc. in care of Larrison Mortuary. Online condolences may be made at www.larrisonmortuary.com.
