1954 - 2023

Jimmie Dee Taylor Jr. Age 69 passed away on November 18th, 2023, at his home in Elmer Missouri surrounded by family and friends after a brief battle with cancer.
Jimmie "Jim'' ''JR'' was born on July 5, 1954, in Ft. Riley, Kansas to Jimmie D. Taylor Sr. and Peggy (Koger) Taylor. He was the eldest of 4 children born to this union.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Kimberly Taylor Blasi and one infant niece.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Taylor, also of Elmer, MO; 2 sisters, Deb Taylor of Macon, MO, and Jennifer Allen Yohnka of Kansas City, MO; 2 brothers, Bob Taylor of Macon, MO and Greg Taylor of Bartlesville, OK; 1 daughter Angela Taylor of Bevier, MO; 1 grandson McKenzey Pipes of Anchorage, Alaska and 3 granddaughters, Zoe Pipes of Bevier, MO, Megan Blasi of Goddard, KS and Molly Blasi of Wichita, KS, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Jimmie worked in the automotive repair industry for most of his adult life. First at Taylor's Garage in LaPlata, MO, which he co¬ owned with his father Jimmie Sr. He was then a fleet mechanic for UPS in Wichita, KS for more than 25 years. He retired at age 62 and moved back to his beloved farm in Elmer, MO and spent most of his days in the shop visiting with friends and neighbors.
Jimmie chose to be cremated and a brief memorial service will occur at a time yet be determined, at the Elmer MO cemetery where his ashes will be placed with his father and other family members who preceded him in death.
