Louise F. Kriner

Louise F. Kriner, 73 of Kirksville passed away Tuesday (April 2, 2019) at the LaPlata Nursing Home.

The daughter of Emrich Peter "Pete" and Emma Louise (Bahm) Schwaner, she was born September 22, 1945 in Kirksville, Missouri, On December 12, 1972 in Kirksville she was united in marriage to Larry E. Kriner and to this union one son, Lawrence was born.

Louise is survived by two brothers, Frederick Charles "Fred" Schwaner II and wife Sally of Kirksville and Emrich Peter "Pete" Schwaner II of Centerville, Iowa; three nephews, Michael Dale Schwaner and wife Marie of Lake Ozark, MO, Jon Eric Schwaner of Sonora, KY, and David Wayne Schwaner and wife Anna of Mt. Vernon, IL; three great nephews, William Schwaner, Logan Schwaner and David Pruett; one great niece, Heather Pruett and friends, Gail and Floyd Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, PFC Lawrence T. Kriner in July 10, 1993 and one niece, Elizabeth K. Schwaner on May 23, 1997.

Louise graduated from Kirkville High School in 1963 and Truman State University with a B.S. in nursing in 1967. She worked at Laughlin Hospital 1963 -72, Leavenworth, KS VA Hospital 1973- 75, Resthaven Nursing Home Independence, MO 1975-76, University of Kentucky Medical Center 1976-77 and Twin Pines Adult Care Center as Assistant D.O.N. from 1980 until she retired in 1989.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and Women of the Moose. She enjoyed cooking, reading, growing flowers, and music. She did volunteer work in childcare.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday (April 4, 2019) with funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Maple Hills Mausoleum.

Memorials in memory of Louise are suggested to the First Christian Church.
