Vernick Gines Obituary
Lieutenant Vernick Seth Gines
Gines - Lieutenant Vernick Seth Gines, 37, of Gines, GA went to be with his Lord and Savior, unexpectedly to us, on Thursday, November 11, 2021.
Vernick was born in Portsmouth, VA and was preceded in death by his father, Nicandro Tampil Gines. Vernick was employed with Gulfstream as a manufacturing engineer, where he had just celebrated his 10th anniversary, and served in the 165th Airlift Wing where he formerly was a Chaplain's Assistant and had embarked on his new role as a Maintenance Officer. He was a true patriot and loved his country very much. He was also highly involved at the Dwelling Church serving in both outreach and youth ministries. He loved pouring back into his community!
In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, gaming, and going on adventures. He was very tech savvy and could fix anything. If there was a need, he would do what he could to fill it; whether it was fixing a car or phone, giving someone a ride, or giving to someone else, Vernick lived out the calling of blessed to be a blessing. More than anything he loved spending time with his friends and family, especially the love of his life, Andrea. He had a heart for serving others and would light up a room whenever he walked in. There was never a dull moment when Vernick was around. He loved to make others laugh and feel included, never being a respecter of persons. His love for Jesus was contagious, and he ran his race well. He was the true definition of an overcomer and will be sorely missed on this side of heaven by all who knew him.
Survivors include his devoted wife and best friend Andrea Haas Gines; mother, Billie Jean Gines; brothers, Ryan Gines (fiance'-Katie Baldetti) and Jered Gines; he and Andrea were God-parents to Bree, Oliver and Nora Dota; also surviving are a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Allen & Tina Haas; brother-in-law, Jonathan Haas.
