ALLEN RADER Obituary

RADER, ALLEN L. - age 77, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014. He was a loving husband and devoted father who will be greatly missed by his family. We will all treasure our memories of times with him in our own individual ways. He had a funny, dry sense of humor and was often very mischievous. He loved NASCAR, wrestling, UT football, and spending time with his family. Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Bertha Rader; brother, Gene Rader; sister, Dama; and son, David Rader. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 57 years, Dorothy Fay McGinnis Rader; sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Debbie Rader, Brent and Christy Rader, Todd and Jill Rader; daughter-in-law, Vickie Rader; daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Bryan Bailey; brother, George Rader; several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren; and special grandchildren, Nikki Rader and Adam Bailey. There are no words to express our sorrow in the passing of this special man from our lives and our arms. Our hearts are broken, but we rejoice in knowing he had great faith and has entered into the arms of our Lord and suffers no more. The family will receive friends 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014, at Bridges Funeral Home followed by a 4:00 p.m. graveside service at Asbury Cemetery with Rev. Eric Kiser officiating. Arrangements by Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999. www.bridgesfuneralhome.com
