Bambi Hughes Obituary

HUGHES, BAMBI LYNN - age 41, left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 25, 2006. East Tennessee has been her home for the past 35 years. A joyful Christian, she celebrated her faith at Fellowship Evangelical Free Church. Bambi graduated from the University of Tennessee and remained a faithful Volunteer. She was a dedicated teacher, writer/editor, web designer, and software systems analyst-professions integrated into her work as Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications for The White Stone Group, where she leaves numerous colleagues and dear friends. Bambi was an ardent traveler; an enthusiastic bowler; and an outstanding, talented musician. Most of all, she was an awesome mother who loved her children dearly. Bambi leaves her grandmother, Ethel Streett of Bayonet Point, Florida; her father, Albert Eugene Hughes; her beloved mother, Dr. Susan E. Hughes; and her loving sister, Erin Frances Hughes of Ft. Collins, Colorado. She has three wonderful children: two sons, Michael Patrick Hertel and Robert Mitchell Hughes; and a beautiful daughter, Rachel Caroline Hughes. She is also survived by Robert Kilburn of Titusville, Florida; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her dearly loved amazing friends. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Bambi Lynn Hughes memorial fund for residential expenses of patients' families at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Donations should be sent to UTMC Department of Pastoral Care. Her memorial service is today, Saturday, January 28, 2006, at Fellowship Evangelical Free Church, 8000 Middlebrook Pike, Rev. Rick Dunn, officiating. Family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. The service begins at 1:30 p.m. after a reflective musical prelude. East Tennessee Mortuary Service. 539-2458

I am so sorry to hear of Bambi's passing. I remember her from elementary school days at Belle Morris, doing her home work at the Bargain Mart, and in later years as an instructor of computer classes which I took. I extend my sincere sympathy to Gene, Susan and her family.

Sincerely,

Jeanne and Jack Sharp

Jack and I send our heartfelt sympathy to Susan, Erin, Gene, Bambi's children and all the rest of her family and friends. Bambi was one of our favorite people in the world. She was multi-talented and was as beautiful inside as she was out. We have known her since she was nine years old, and it is hard to realize that she has passed away. We feel really sad today. May God be with her family. We regret that we were unable to attend her memorial service.

Sincerely,

Jack and Jeanne

Bambi and I go way back. Our parents started a very successful business together, Bargain Mart Classifieds. I have many fond memories of our days working at the business as 10 YEAR OLDS!!! Bambi was an amazingly talented and intelligent person. She will be missed by many. God, be with her family (especially her children) and all those that love her during this heartbreaking time. In His name,

Robbin :-)
