Charles Crigger Obituary

CRIGGER, CHARLES W. - age 74 of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was a retired Lt. from Knoxville Police Department and later served as head of security at Parkwest Medical Center. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police for 50 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy during the Korean War. Preceded in death by his wife, Joe Crigger; son, Mark Crigger; parents, Roy and Christine Crigger; and brother, Herman Crigger. Survivors include son, Mike Crigger of Knoxville; daughter, Sherry and husband Jim Janney of Atlanta; daughter-in-law, Rena Crigger of Knoxville; grandchildren, Matthew Crigger, Kevin Crigger, Courtney Janney, Bradley Janney, Joe-Joe Janney, and Lauren Crigger; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be Friday at 12:00 PM at Lynnhurst Cemetery with Military honors provided by Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Dr. www.lynnhurstchapel.com
