Todd was revered as a wrestler and a scrapper, which usually means you have a sadistic complex and/or a bad attitude.
Todd had neither.
This is who Todd was to me. He had courage when others did not...regardless of the odds.
But mostly I'll remember all the effortless carpet-burns and grass stains he gave me when I decided to try him.
I would struggle to tears under his strength and God-given ability as a wrestler, and he would always laugh and encourage me as he dusted the grass off my back when I'd had enough.

Todd was, and will always be, my little brother. He had such a wonderful heart and spirit. I am very proud of the man he grew to be. My world will never be the same but I'm thankful for the time I had with him and I'm glad his suffering is over. As my older brother shared in his words about Todd at his celebration of life... Let your spirit dance little brother.

Maxine and Janet, I just learned of Todd's passing. My heart goes out to you and your family. You have all been in my thoughts and prayers. Todd was such a sweet guy. He fought a long battle; but now he is home with our Lord. You and your family are very dear and please call. If you need anything, let me know. I love you all.

Sorry for your famliys loss. Todd was my wreslting partner i was a freshman he was a senior. Ill never forget my first day if practice my buddy said your in trouble your same weight class as Todd Hargis. Lol he whooped my tail all over tht matt all year long :) he taught me alot i tell that story anytime someone brings up wrestling. God bless u all i knw he watching over you all

Todd was my little brother.He was the best.He loved life and love of family.He was the most courageous person I have ever known.His battle was long but in a twinkling of his blue eyes he was in the presence of the Lord.While my heart breaks I am so happy for my brother.I love him so.

I had the priviledge of caring for Todd after his accident. He very quickly found a special place in my heart. He was such a special person. To Sheila and Maxine and the rest of the family I am so very sorry for your loss. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Maxine, Todd spent many happy times at my home with Jason. I can still hear the laughs and conversations that came through the house when all the boys were there watching a ballgame. Some of my greatest childhood memories involve Todd. He was a great friend and the world was a better place with him in it. All of us Halls boys hearts go out to Maxine and family. We lost a brother but we will see him again.

Todd was the missing piece of our puzzle he gave a piece of his heart to all off us, he gave all his heart and passion to my sister,Kapri and Aidan. Todd figures prominently in memories of my childhood. I've known him as long as I can remember. The ballpark, school, wrestling, just being together as friends. I can't think of anyone I shared more laughs with. Whatever we did together, we had fun. That is how I will always remember him. My heart goes out to Todd's family. He will be missed.

I grew up across the street from Todd & we spent many, many days riding bikes, playing backyard football just being kids. I will never forget the memories we created together. Todd, you were a good, decent person. You took care of Sheila. You treated Aidan and Caprianna like they were your own. Your life was cut way too short. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Coach Vandergriff has kept former wrestlers abreast of Todd's condition for over a year now and while I personally didn't know Todd, he was in my thoughts daily hoping for a speedy recovery. He fought the good battle probably longer than anyone else which showed his desire to be the best; I believe Todd was the best as a family man and whatever he put his mind into achieving.
