David Beach Obituary

David Beach

Crossville, TN

David A. Beach, age 53, of Crossville, TN, passed away unexpectedly July 23, 2016. He was born January 26, 1963 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Gordon and Mary Johns Beach. He was employed with Arby's Restaurant Group as a district manager in Crossville and was the project manager of innovation for the first Arby's Food Truck. That particular truck helped feed the many people without heat and power in our area at the Red Cross, during the February 2015 ice storm. Prior to moving to Crossville, he had worked several years in the Madison area with McDonald's. He was a gifted chef who loved preparing great dishes for his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking with his brother, Michael, who is also a chef. He had a keen interest in wine making and grew his own grapes for his wine. When time allowed, he and his wife, Lily, loved to travel and he had visited all but two of the 50 states; also traveling to France and many countries in Europe. He was an avid reader, enjoyed his music and loved a good game of golf. But most importantly of all was the laughter, kindness and compassion he shared with others.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lily of Crossville, TN; mother, Mary Lou Reimer and her husband Louie of Crossville, TN; brother, Michael Roeper and his wife Nancy of Crandon, Wisconsin; and also his brother, Brian of Crandon; sister, Chris Streitzel and her husband Dale of Durango, Colorado; an uncle, many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves his many wonderful friends and his French family. He was preceded in death by his father.

A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Hood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, an act of kindness for donations to the Alzheimer's Association, St. Jude Children's Research or the House of Hope in Crossville, TN. Hood Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
