I have many fond memories of Derek. I lived 2 doors down from him for 11 years. We played together nearly everyday. It breaks my heart to hear that people I know are dying so young. My condolences to his mom & family.

I went to school with Derek from elementary all the way to Fulton High School. He was a good friend back in school and I hate to hear about his passing. R.I.P. Derek

I didn't know Derek or any of the family. I just happen to be going through the paper and saw his obituary and my heart went out to the family. May god put his loving arms around you and give you peace. You are all in my prayers.
