Earl Easterday Obituary

Earl Edward "Ed" Easterday

Knoxville - Earl Edward "Ed" Easterday - of Knoxville went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at the age of 82. He was a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Ed retired from Dow Chemical after over 30 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman with a special love for all of God's creatures. Preceded in death by parents, Claude Raymond and Myrtle Norman Easterday; and sisters, Dot Johnson and Peggy Easterday. Survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sylvia Easterday; sons, Buddy (Karen) Easterday, John Easterday, and Bryan Easterday; step-daughters, Jane (Lamar) Ruggles and Cindee Lambo; brother, Bud Easterday; sister, Pat (Bob) Arwood; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 12:00-2:00 PM Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM with Dr. Bruce Martin officiating. Family and friends will meet 12:45 PM Sunday at Highland Memorial Cemetery for a 1:00 PM interment. Arrangements by Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 865-523-4999. www.bridgesfuneralhome.com
