Eugene R. Tilley Jr.

Lenoir City, TN

Eugene R. Tilley Jr. age 62 of Lenoir City, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at his home. He served in the U. S. Navy for 24 years where he retired as CWO2. After retirement Gene worked in the food service industry, most recently at Iron Skillet. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Survived by his wife of 20 years, Nancy J. Tilley; daughters and sons-in-law, Gail Tilley and Jack Irwin, Lindsay and Dustin Ivey; grandchildren: James, Ian, Sarah, Bella, Serenity and Alyana; parents, Eugene R. Tilley Sr. and Beatrice Tilley; sisters, Robin Frazita and Cheryl DeJoe; brothers, Mark Tilley and Charlie Tilley; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27th at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Highway, Knoxville for graveside services. Military honors will be conferred.

He was a good person. He will be missed. He always came into weigles and always had one are more of his grandkids with him. He loved those grandbabies and they loved him very much. My prayers go out to his family.
