Knoxville, TN
Fred Edward Burns, age 59, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 20, 2018. He was great man and father. He touched so many people's lives. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was and entrepreneur with a love of yard sales, flea markets and professional wrestling. Preceded in death by his parents Clyde Edward and Hellen Lee Garner Burns. Survived by son, Steven Edward Burns; sister Sharon Burns; fiance Pamela Lovelace Dawson and her daughter Selena Dawson; honorary grandson Ryder Norris; aunt and uncle Sharyn and Jim Mize; and many beloved family and friends. Acting pallbearers are Michael Houser, Tyler Munsey, Tony Harn, Russell Zellers, Wesley Munsey, and Jonathon McMurrey. Honorary Pallbearers, Jim Mize, Dickie Burnette, and Greg Bryam. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm - 8:00pm Monday, July 23, 2018 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with funeral Service will follow Rev. Kemp Wynn officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 am Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Ft City to leave in procession for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service at Mount Harmony Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Fred Burns Memorial Fund at Suntrust Bank 5201 North Broadway Knoxville, Tn. 37918. Please leave online condolences to mynattfh.com

I remember going to wrestlung shows all over tn to watch wrestling and always seeing fred burns and steven burns at all the shows fred u will be greatly missed u are gone but u wont be forgotten u are with our lord jesus now we will meet again one day my bro in christ we love u from elizabeth nelson and hubert galyon rest in peace my bro

He was my Uncle Fred for many years. Aunt Linda loved him and so did I! He was always so good to me and included me in Aunt Linda's birthdays because mine was two days later. He always treated me with kindness and compassion. I can't believe he is gone! Steven, I want you to know that we will always be your family and I love you so much! Thank you for including Tyler. He loved Fred too. God bless you in the days ahead.

It was always such a pleasure to see Fred, Pam, and Steven at the local wrestling shows for going on 6 years and out about the town. Fred was always witty, funny, welcoming, and nice to my family and I. We are all so sorry for your loss and wish you all strength, healing, and comfort in this extremely difficult time. Much love to all family, friends, and loved ones blessed enough to have met this wonderful man.
