Gary Lynn Sharp is another name for Blessing.

The blessing to Mack and Ruth Sharp, who had prayed and waited sixteen long years for their only son.

The blessing to Knight and Sharp grandparents who welcomed one last grandson to complete their family circles.

A blessing to a family of cousins he grew with and claimed as siblings.

A blessing to the fellowship at his family church, Galilee Baptist where he grew from nursery to marriage to Senior Adult Class and now home.

A blessing to the staff and patients of East Tn Baptist Hospital where he took his education, skills and caring to fix what was broken and make things run smoothly.

The blessing who found a prize of strength and smart in the Baptist surgery department, and made Deloris Burnette his bride. For twenty-six years supporting and growing together with shared interests, they made their home in good times and hard times.

The blessing to Shriner's special needs kids, traveling countless miles with best friend Bill Carden, to

transport them to the help they received from Shriners Hospitals.

The blessing who picked up and carried with his broken body and lion's heart, his most beloved wife and mother to their final rests.

The blessing who after all his giving, found more inside to give and looked around for someone who needed such a love in their life. His good friend from high school and Eastern Star, Linda Nations, saw his search and pointed him in the direction of her co-worker. Susan Kay was surely just the one he sought. Someone who needed his huge good heart and welcoming arms to surround and mend her brokenness.

The blessing who brought his love of God and of others together to find his calling as Prayer Warrior when his disabilities restricted his physical mobility and strength.

And now, one last blessing left to us, the shadow of God's Man walking toward the Son.

We worked in the Surgery Department in the 1980's-2000's. We remember Gary so fondly. He was such a kind person, and always went out of his way to be helpful, and make your day better. He was such a pleasure to be around. Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family during this very difficult time. God Bless. David and Sharon Taylor

Gary was a fun and sweet cousin. I have great memories of staying at his house as a child where he and I would play in the creek and he would read books to me. He will truly be missed by many , but now he is at home with Jesus and his loved one's that preceded him in going. My prayers and thoughts are with his family at this time.
