Gladys Cale Obituary
Knoxvile, TN
Gladys L. Cale received her wings on January 24, 2018 at Island Homes Nursing Home. She was a graduate of Austin High School. Member of Wilder Baptist Church. Her Passing is preceded by her husband Moses Cale, Parents Simpson Groce and Laila Landrum; Children Phyllis Macon, "Willie Bell" and Arthur "Bro" Towns; grandchildren Melvin Towns, Darcina and Francina Gross; brothers, Raymond Henderson and Sam Groce.
Survived by children, Pierce Groce Sr, Sue and Linda Towns; sister, Barbara Hubbard; grandchildren: devoted grandson, Tobias Towns, Willie Earl, Octavia, Quinton, Lionel, Cedric, Keisha, Quincy Towns, Pierce Groce Jr., Kiauda Moore, Tyrese Murray, Arthur, Asia and Aisha Lawson; nieces, Lala Henderson, Julie Crawley, Karen Robinson, Michelle Iman, Marian Milton; nephew, Samuel McGriff; a host of great and great-great grandchildren, friends and family too numerous to name.
Special thanks to Wilder Baptist Church, Island Homes Nursing Home and Morningside Gardens.
Graveside services, 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, 3176 Airport Highway, Alcoa, TN 33701.
Family will Assemble at 1908 Brandau St. Knoxville, TN 37921.

Ms. Gladys, at a loss for words. She was the type of woman that always kept it real with you. She use to feed me when I was younger, my sister, Cookie and Ms. Gladys were neighbors. Work with her at the Office on Aging. Miss her smile, sound advice, funny jokes and conversations. A special woman. May God wrap his loving and comforting arms around you all and bring you peace.
