Hazel Ida Reese Hambright

HAMBRIGHT, HAZEL IDA REESE - born December 17, 1926 in Gainesville, GA died April 19, 2007 at Baptist Hospital surrounded by those she loved and those who loved her. She lived her life vigorously and in her own way. She was an amazing cook, a lover of good music and an avid reader. Hazel was proud of her work in the service of others, including being a pediatric nurse at Aidmore Convalescent Center in Atlanta. She was a member of AKIMA Club in Knoxville and a long time volunteer for the FISH pantry. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family, including her loving and devoted husband of 58 years, Frank H. Hambright of Knoxville, son F. Harlan Hambright Jr. and wife Rhonda of St. Simons Island, GA, daughter Holly H. Forbes and husband Judd of Maryville, daughter Kyle H. Smith and daughter Peg Hambright and husband Scott Carpenter, all of Knoxville and special daughter Kathleen Hambright of St. Simons Island. She had one grandson, Hank Hambright of St. Simons Island, GA, and four granddaughters, Marley and Kyle Forbes of Maryville, and Elizabeth and Annie Smith of Knoxville, brother George Reese Jr. and wife Joanne, sisters Trelle Puckett and husband J.B. and Sandra Wilson and husband Tommy, all of Gainesville, GA. She was a member of Lake Forest Presbyterian Church, where a celebration of Hazel's life will be held April 29, 2007 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception of friends.
