James Likens Obituary
Knoxville, TN
James "Shorty" Likens, Sr., age 77, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on December 28th, 2016. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by parents, John Thomas and Lou Vinia Likens; brothers, Frank and Eugene Likens; and twin sister, Phyllis Hickman. He is survived by his wife, Betty; son, peanut Likens and wife Angie; daughter, Nancy Rose and husband Dave; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jo Likens, Charlene Pierley, Betty Perdue, and Margaret Isley; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 1st, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. interment service on Monday, January 2nd, 2017 at Concord Masonic Cemetery, with Rev. Dennis Alder officiating.
