Jean Eshbaugh Obituary

ESHBAUGH, JEAN - died on Thursday, November 13, 2008. She was born Francis Jean Miller on February 22, 1925, the daughter of Carl and Neva Miller of Youngstown, Ohio and was the widow of Thomas Boyd Eshbaugh, Sr., to whom she was married for over 60 years. Jean Eshbaugh served her community as a successful real estate agent for many years. She was a long-time member of Middlebrook Pike United Methodist Church. She leaves behind the following immediate family members: sisters, Betty Brothers of Key West, Florida and JoAnn Case of Macedonia Ohio; son, Carl W. Eshbaugh of Knoxville, TN, his wife, Laura K. Eshbaugh, grandson, Gregory Eshbaugh married to Jessica Smith Eshbaugh and granddaughter, Rebecca Eshbaugh who is now living in Washington, D.C.; son, Thomas Eshbaugh, Jr., of Knoxville, TN and his wife Rebecca Sanchez Eshbaugh; daughter, Betty Jo "BJ" Swinehart of Knoxville, TN, her husband, Mark Bialik, grandson, Timothy Swinehart of Johnson City, TN married to JoAnna Swinehart and great grandsons Griffin and Solomon Swinehart; daughter, Neva Mumpower living in Hixson, TN her husband, David Mumpower, grandson, Richard Bennett who is in the Air Force stationed in Little Rock, Arkansas his wife Wendy Bennett and great granddaughters, Zen and Phoenix. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Highland Memorial Funeral Home, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22nd. a short memorial service will follow, The Reverend Jack Elam will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations and memorials may be sent to the FISH Pantry and Middlebrook Pike United Methodist Church, 7234 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918.

She was a wonderful lady with a great warmth and humor, who went far beyond the expected in her business dealings and raised great kids. Just a pleasure to be with and an honor to have known.
