Joan Steed Obituary
Knoxville, TN
Joan Mary Novak Steed, age 62, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016. Joan was a devout Catholic. She was a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines for twenty-seven years and loved flying with her many friends. Joan loved animals, especially cats, her family, and being a mother and wife.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Margaret Novak of Evergreen Park, Illinois. Joan is survived by her husband of thirty-four years, Grey; daughters, Tracy (Tommy) Jensen, and Megan; granddaughter, Mary Margaret Jensen; brother, Mark Novak; nephews Jonathan Novak, Brian Rozelle, and Brandon Rozelle; niece, Lisa Ferry; innumerable friends; and her favorite felines, Tank and Katrina.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Knoxville. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Sacred Heart Cathedral, Make-a-Wish or your favorite animal shelter.
