JOHNNY SMART Obituary

SMART, JOHNNY HASKEW - age 68, of Powell, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Tennova North. He was a member of Union Baptist Church, had retired from R & L Freight Lines, and enjoyed his antique cars. He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Haskew and Lucille Day Smart; brothers-in-law, Curtis Foster, Donnie Hood, and Jimmy Mynatt; mother-in-law, Frances Mynatt. Survivors include loving wife of 47 years, Janice Mynatt Smart; sons, Jeff Smart and Jason Smart and wife, Lynn; special granddaughter, Quinn Smart; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Johnny Rhyne, Carolyn Foster, Alice Hood, and Terry and husband Kenny Widener; step mother, Betty Smart; step sister Jan and husband Jim Rector; step brothers, Eddie Mannis and Robby Mannis; sisters-in-law and husbands, Martha and Bill Townsend, and Mary and Jr. Chadwick; as well as several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Chris Hood, Jonathan Widener, Lee Townsend, Adam Chadwick, Butch Rhyne and Butch Carpenter. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 23, 2013, at 8:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Scott Hood and Rev. Mike Segers officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls to proceed to Ft. Sumter Cemetery for 11:00 a.m. interment. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2013, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls.
