Lillian Barlow Obituary

BARLOW, LILLIAN E. - age 93 of Knoxville went home to be with the lord Tuesday July 10, 2007. She was a member of Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church and a homemaker. Preceded in death by her husband Walter Barlow, her sisters Pearl Haynes, Opal Capps and Trula Miller. She is survived by her daughters Wanda Carter, Frances Bean and husband Bob Bean, Joyce Jones and husband Kyle Jones and Sue Newman and husband Sam Newman all of Knoxville; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Mamaw will always be remembered for her Hot Tamales ( the best in town ) as she made them for more than forty years. A service of celebration will be at 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Bean officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 A.M. Friday at the West Adair entrance to Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 11:00 A.M. interment. Pallbearers Gary Ailor, Mark Allen, Tim Duncan, Danny Ferris, David Jones, Wayne Jones, Ed Barry, Robert Wright. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church Choir 1620 N. Central Street Knoxville, Tennessee 37917. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Emerald Avenue United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. www.rosemortuary.com
