I KNOW THE LORD HAS SAID: WELL DONE MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT LLOYD. WHAT A JOY TO KNOW YOU. I WILL MISS YOU.

We’ll Miss You, Lloyd

You’ll never be forgotten for many reasons, but to us personally you characterized/modeled these things:
• Genuine Friendship: John 15:14, Jesus said, “I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from My Father, I have made know to you.” My! The many times that we sat at your table and shared what the Lord had taught us. We laughed, questioned, and prayed—it was so rich and encouraging. One day we got on the topic of prophecy, Jesus’ coming, Israel, and heaven. We left SO elated that it took us days to come down to earth! Sadly, few Christians enjoy that topic on the level that we shared

• A tireless servant: Colossians 1:23 states “This is the gospel that you herd and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which (Lloyd) have become a servant.” You were late in life coming to really know Christ so you threw your energies for the rest of your life, to make up for lost time. At 94 years of age, you were beginning new Bible studies in your home and investigating ministries to invest in. At the same age, you were trying new recipes to host other believers, sharing Truth, leading people to Christ, and at other times, have shared Truth, you were giving away your most recently acquired Bible. Your enthusiasm for life was contagious. We never came to your door that you did not laughingly exclaim, “Come on in here!” We will also miss you at the Marriott on Christmas Eve.

• One who truly loved God’s Word : Matthew 24:35 reads, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Words will never pass away.” Your collection of and love of commentaries flamed the love in your soul for His timeless Word. We will never again read your favorite Psalm 103 the same. Today, as your friends gather for celebrating your life, you are before His Throne proclaiming, “Bless the Lord, Oh my soul; and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.” You always lived life looking forward!

You were so loved, Lloyd, and had so much “family.” Jenny and Jesus welcome you, we’re learning to adjust to our loss. I hope you’ll remember to carry out the assignment that we gave you. You’ve made our home-going an even greater anticipation—if you can imagine THAT!

You lived and dies with graced and dignity. Oswald Chambers said, “The expression of Christian character is not good doing, but God-likeness.” You left a legacy for us to follow. We’ll never forget.

Lloyd Pease was a constant joy in the life of my mother and father, Fred and Mary Katherine, and the rest of the Carr family. He represented all that is decent and good in this world. His love of family and friends, quiet good humor, and firm, unwavering faith were always apparent. A living example to all who knew him of what loving God truly means, he will be sorely missed. Both Chip and I feel blessed to have had Lloyd as our friend. We "loved him good."

Lloyd Pease was a wonderful man and a friend to many. His smile was contagious, and his warm greetings always genuine. He was the second person I met when I went to work at TVA in the 1960s. His contributions to TVA and to the employees of its Division of Finance were invaluable. We all shall miss him.

Lloyd Pease has been such a dear, wonderful friend for several years. It seems as though we have known each other forever. He was such an inspiration to me and we always enjoyed our time spent together. I will always remember his beautiful, descriptive blessings over our meals together. He was the most positive, pleasant friend that I have ever had. The many, many stories he shared with me are unforgetable. He was the ultimate Christian and I will miss him greatly. Until we meet again dear friend, I love you and miss you.

I met Mr. Pease about 35 years ago. He was a client of mine at the bank where I worked. He soon became a dear friend and we kept in touch throughout the years. He helped me through some trying times with his words of encouragement and prayers. I will miss his phone calls, especially during the holidays. He was, I believe, a righteous man, and is now in the presence of our Father.

Mr. Pease meant so much to me and our church during the short time that I knew him. I'll always remember his love for the Lord and his love for his church (Gallaher) and it's people.
