Lorene Cline Obituary

CLINE, LORENE SAWYER - 78, of Knoxville, TN, went to meet her Savior and Lord on Sunday, December 11, 2011, after a long battle with dementia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles "Charlie" Sawyer and Dicie (Sharp), her aunt, Norma (Sharp) Hooper of Robbinsville, NC; her son, Michael Biggerstaff, and her husband, Elmer Cline. She is survived by her brother, Forrest Sawyer, son, Mark Biggerstaff, and daughter, Elaine (Cline) Clem, and eight grandchildren: Bill, Anita, Samuel, Benjamin, John, Matthew, Markia, Erin. She is no longer in pain and while we miss her, we know that she was washed in Christ's blood! To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her glorious sense of humor, and her ability to turn to the Lord in times of suffering and grief! Her greatest mission on earth was to see that her children and grandchildren knew a personal relationship with Christ! Gammie, we are "staying prayed up" so that we will see you again! Services will be held January 16, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Anchor Holds Baptist Church, 4601 Old Broadway, Knoxville, TN, Pastor Ronnie Dotson officiating. Graveside service will immediately follow at Union Cemetery in Newport, TN. The family requests friends join them after the burial for a reception (see map at church). The family requests donations in lieu of flowers be made in memory of Lorene Cline to the Alzheimer's Association.

Elaine and Mark, I am so sorry to hear of Lorene's passing. I know she is happy to be free of sickness and pain, but most of all, she will be with Mike.
