Melody Kavanagh Obituary

KAVANAGH, MELODY JAYNE DUFF - age 34 of Lenoir City passed away December 14, 2007. She was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. Melody was a 1991 graduate of Lenoir City High School where she loved to sing in the chorus. She was presented at Teen Board in Knoxville. Melody received an associate degree from Pellissippi State Community College and was a former employee of the Loudon Co. Clerks Office. Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clarence and Helen Littleton; paternal grandparents, Boyd and Margaret Duff. Survived by her parents, Harold and Delores Littleton Duff; sister, Candace Parkerson Lowe and husband, Stephen of Lenoir City; brother, Lance Duff and wife, Brandy of Oak Ridge; nieces and nephews: Jordan Parkerson, Lauren Parkerson, Derek Lowe, Carter Duff, Erin Duff and Katherine Duff; aunts and uncles, Larry and Jean Duff, Patsy and Gene Hughes, Clarius Smith; several cousins; special friends. Angie Lake, Laura Saidak Smith and many other friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nurses in Surgical CCU at U. T. Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Markwood, Rev. C. V. Duff III and Rev. Keith Wilkerson officiating. The family will receive friends following the funeral service. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. Monday and proceed to Loudon Co. Memorial Gardens for graveside services at 11 a.m. Serving as pallbearers, Rick Hattley, Joe Morrison, Jim Ogle, Steven Lowe, Kevin Hughes and Keith Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers will be Tammy Hattley, Lisa Morrison, Julie Ogle, Gwen Hughes, Chasey Hachmann, Angie Lake and Laura Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 4930 Kingston Highway, Lenoir City, TN 37771. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.

Peace and understanding to the family. My condolences, prayers, and warm thoughts go out to all who's lives she touched. I remember in High School always seing her shining face in the hallways. We could all learn from her life influences.
