Michael Dunaway Obituary
Knoxville, TN
Michael Keith Dunaway, age 29, of the Karns Community Knoxville passed away suddenly Friday evening, August 7, 2015, in an automobile accident. Keith was a graduate of Karns High School Class of 2005. He was a School Security Officer at Northshore Elementary School. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed wrestling and stock car racing. Most importantly, Keith was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and grandson.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Herbert Davis; great-grandparents, Okey and Sue Dunaway. Keith is survived by his wife, Lori Goode Dunaway; daughter, Taylor Dunaway; parents, Mike (Pam) Dunaway; mother, Tina (Randy) Thomas; sister, Jennifer Graves; mother-in-law, Donna (Hugh McGill) Draper; grandparents, Hayes and Martha Dunaway, Ruby Davis; uncles, Doug Dunaway and Jimmy (Bonnie) Davis; niece, Lexi Graves; nephews, Braden and Colton Graves; several cousins and other family members.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel with Rev. Cedric L. Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family request that members of law enforcement attending the funeral be in uniform. Memorials may be made to a education fund established for his daughter, please make check to Taylor D. Officer Dunaway did a tremendous job keeping the children at Northshore Elementary safe. He greeted us every day with kind eyes and a smile, while still keeping a watchful eye on the parking lots. You could tell he loved his job and that the kids loved him. May God be with you and you find comfort in Him!
