My heart broke the moment I realized what had happened to your family and it continues to break knowing what sadness and loss you must feel. One of my first thoughts was: I am so glad they have Vanessa's wedding pictures to look back on and see his smiling face in. I know Kingston and Harper will miss their uncle dearly but not every child can say they have a special guardian angel watching them every moment. Griph family, I grew up with Nate and Nick from kindergarten. He was an absolutely amazing man. He always had the most contagious smile and laugh. Growing up watching him be the shyest kid turning in to such a bubbly young man was a blessing! Being able to call him a friend is something I will always cherish and will keep a memory forever. Just remember in lue of all the hurt and pain he is most defiantly in a much happier/better place looking down on us all!! Your family will continue to be in my prayers!!

Little Brother, the last 6 days have been the hardest days of my life. I just want you to call me and talk to me about things again. But I know you are in a way better place now and watching over us. You looked up to me and I only hope that I lived up to the type of man you wanted me to be. We miss you buddy but just keep us safe in your arms and guide us. I was blessed enough to have this incredible young man & his family as my CHOSEN family having become best friends with his Mom, Pam, when Nate was only 4 years old. I watched him grow from a goofy, funny, loving little boy who was always laughing with his brother, Nick, into a loving respectful young man who loved his family. You will not ever find a family closer than the Griphs - they have weathered many storms and only held tighter to each other. My heart is broken & I will miss Nate so very much. No words are adequate to describe what his loss means to all that knew him. Rest In Peace, sweetie, and know that you are loved.

Thinking about this tragic event puts me at a loss for words. Another young life lost. When you grow up with someone and graduate together, you never think for once that in a matter of time they'd be gone just like that. My condolences go out to his family, especially his twin brother Nick. Losing a sibling is hard, but losing a twin is even harder. It was an honor to know such an outstanding young man.
