Pauline Acuff Rucker (Byrd), age 92, of Knoxville passed away on Thursday November 29, 2018. She was preceded in death by parents, Lester and Myrtle Acuff; son, Steve Rucker; brothers, James Tipton (Andy) Acuff, J.C. Acuff, and L.C. Acuff; sisters, Mardell Simon, Madelen Acuff, Letha Mae Acuff, Lucille Acuff; nephew, Bernard Acuff; and companion of forty-two years, George T. Byrd. Survived by sister-in-law, Rema Acuff; nephews, Mike Hughes (Jan), Terry Acuff (Gage), Doug Acuff (Tenora), Dean Acuff (Kathy); nieces, Sandra Hughes, Penny Plummer (Larry), Jamie Stratton (Kim), Patricia Mashburn (Charles); other great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Mary Hood. A

graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday December 3, 2018, at Kitts Cemetery (Highway 131 Washburn, TN). In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Kitts Cemetery Association (C/O Citizens Banks and Trust PO Box Washburn, TN 37888). ROSE MORTUARY BROADAY CHAPEL in charge of arrangements.
