Pauline Riddle Obituary

RIDDLE, PAULINE SALTS - age 83, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at Briarcliff Health Care Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The daughter of the late William and Lula Nelson Salts, she was born in Erwin, Tennessee and moved to the Spring City area in 1952. She was a homemaker. Pauline was a member of the Rhea County Rescue Squad Crewettes, Rhea County Home Demonstration Club, and a member of the Spring City United Methodist Church and the Loyalty Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by husband of 58 years, Millard Darrell Riddle; granddaughter, Paula Underwood; sisters, Elizabeth Stapleton, Ruth Rothgeb, and Lillian Tolley. Pauline is survived by her son, Marvin (Joanne) Riddle, Bradenton, Florida; daughters, Patty (Doug) Underwood, Knoxville, Vickie (Mike) Phipps, Corbin, Kentucky; brothers, Ray and J. B. Salts both of Erwin, Tennessee; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm at the Spring City United Methodist Church with Reverend Dale Wyrick officiating. Interment will be in the Spring City Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Rhea County Rescue Squad or the Spring City United Methodist Church. Vaughn Funeral Home in Spring City is in charge of arrangements.
