Peter Kurt Mioduszewski, age 77, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018, after battling illness since January 2018. Dr. Mioduszewski is survived by his wife, Beverly Stanford of Clinton, TN; former wife Renata Hass of Knoxville, TN, and daughters Saskia [and son-in-law Ralf Rapp] of College Station, TX and Kristina of Knoxville, TN; stepson, Darren Stanford of Claxton, TN; brother, Gerd Mioduszewski [and sister-in-law Enno Ennolies and nephews Dirk and Lars] of Hagen, Germany; and grandson Rudi Rapp of College Station, TX.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 28, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm, at Weatherford Mortuary, Oak Ridge, TN. An online guest book may be signed at weatherfordmortuary.comThe family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Stroke Association.

Peter has been a key person in the collaboration between the US-DOE and the French Atomic Energy Commission in the 1980's. I was his counterpart, in this venture and I would like to emphasize the role he plaid to bring activities to successful completion.
Not only Peter was experienced in basic physics and engineering (the German touch!) but he had the talent to enhance mutual understanding of the teams by pedagogical approaches that eventually benefited to both groups.
Those who know him well will immediately support that Peter was a humanist. Always calm and friendly he gave an impression of extreme strength. Although water is flowing under the bridge, I keep a strong recollection of all these discussions we had together, in particular when rebuilding the world at the coffee machine.
I would like to join those who expressed their emotion in this sad circumstance and address my deep feelings to his family and friends.
