Robert LaTour Obituary
Loudon, TN
Robert Thomas "Bob" LaTour, Jr., age 74, of Sweetwater and Loudon, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts to the late Robert T. and Lillian Isabelle (Willard) LaTour, Sr. Bob served his country in the U.S. Air Force beginning in 1959 and spanning 30 years, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. Bob and wife, Kathleen relocated to Loudon, TN where he worked for the Loudon Utility Board as a Superintendent of Operations logging 20 years of service. He valued being a member of the Loudon Lions Club, was an avid golfer and enjoyed his retirement years living in the quiet countryside.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Paul and two infant brothers. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathleen (O'Neill) LaTour, Sweetwater; sons and daughters-in-law, Thad and Ginger LaTour, Clovis, NM, Keith and Mary LaTour, Lenoir City, Scott LaTour, Sweetwater; grandchildren, Addison LaTour, Téa Marsden, Sean Erney and Tristan LaTour; brother and sister-in-law, Vincent and Sheryon LaTour, Boynton Beach, FL.
Services honoring and remembering Mr. LaTour will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, Dec. 23 graveside in Loudon County Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force and the Loudon County Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Loudon Lions Club, 516 Engle Rd., Loudon, TN 37774. The family will receive friends 4:00 – 6:30 PM, Tuesday, Dec. 22nd at McGill Click Funerals and Cremations, 1366 Hwy 72 North, Loudon. www.mcgillclick.com.
