RON SMITH

SMITH, RON - age 82 of the Tellico Village Community, Loudon, passed away Sunday morning, March 10, 2013. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Ron was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Loudon County Veteran Honor Guard. He was retired from the Lamina Corporation and an avid tennis player. Ron is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Joan Smith; children: Bruce Smith of Austin, TX, Veronica (Mark) Minsky of Lebanon, TN, Laura (Morgan) Walker of Portland, OR, and Richard Smith of Berkley, MI; grandchildren: Andrew and Emily Minsky, and Lucy Walker; sister, Carol Smith of Plymouth, MI; along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Lenoir City with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium with full military honors conferred by the Loudon County Veteran Honor Guard.
