Ruth Bryant Obituary

BRYANT, RUTH MARIE - age 83 of Lenoir City passed away Thursday, April 30, 2009. She was a member of Kingston Pike Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, John and Beshia Cranfill; 2 brothers and 7 sisters. Survived by her husband, Edd Bryant; children, Della Sue Burkhart and husband, George, Lonnie Bryant and wife, Deborah Kay, and Sharron Kay Bryant all of Lenoir City; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and sisters, Nell McGinley and Katherine Butler. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Click Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ronny Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Loudon Co. Memorial Gardens. Click Funeral Home, Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements. www.clickfuneralhome.com

There are no right words, but my pastor often mentioned this poem. I don't know who wrote it, but I found it comforting and hope you do also.
Heaven Is Much Nearer Now
One whom I loved has left me.
Her journey was designed to take her past the curtain and I was left behind,
But though the tears still threaten, I know my grief will cease, for I have the Father's promise of comfort and of peace. The needs of my tomorrows are covered by His care, and Heaven is much nearer for I have treasure there.
