Shirley continues to be missed by family and friends and memories of our childhood creep into my thoughts often. Despite being my niece, she was more like a sister. Loved her dearly.

Tori,
I was so saddened to learn of your mother's passing recently. One is never ready to lose a parent and I know how important your family is to you.
It was a blessing that you and Ricky moved back to Tennessee to be with your parents and to help them. I know that they appreciated and enjoyed having you and Ricky there. I am so glad that your mom and dad really got to know Ricky and to share in your joy of motherhood.
Please know that you, Ricky and the rest of your family have been in my thoughts and prayers as you navigate this new chapter in your lives.
God bless you!

Gordon and I extend our heartfelt condolences to Shirley's daughters, Tori, Allison, LaRaye, Beth and extended families and to her siblings, Arlene, Evelyn and Jerry.
Shirley left such a beautiful legacy of love, caring, sharing, and, most importantly, faith to sustain all of you.
I can't thank you enough for the care you provided to her and Stan as they struggled with health issues. Shirley spoke often of how fortunate she was to have such a loving family around her.
Memories sustain us and, in Shirley's case, there are many and some will make us cry, but most will make us smile. We are all comforted in the fact that she's gone to be with the Lord and is pain-free and whole again. An assurance we all have.
Condolences and love,
Gordon and Mary Ann

I WANTED TO SHARE WITH MY NIECES, TORI, LARAYE, ALLISON AND BETH....ALONG WITH THEIR FAMILIES THAT I KNOW YOU HAD A WONDERFUL MOM, GRANDMA AND GREAT GRANDMA IN SHIRLEY.
WE ARE HEARTBROKEN AS HER FAMILY TO KNOW SHE IS NO LONGER HERE BUT SHE IS SO VERY HAPPY TO BE WITH THE LORD.
WE WILL BE PRAYING FOR ALL OF YOU AS YOU WILL MISS HER OFTEN AND NEED THE PRAYERS FROM OTHERS TO HELP YOU THROUGH THOSE TIMES.
SHIRLEY WAS A VERY SPECIAL SISTER WHO WAS MUCH QUIETER THAN I WAS AND GOT INTO MUCH LESS TROUBLE THAN I DID, AS I ALWAYS HAD TO SAY WHAT I THOUGHT WAS VERY IMPORTANT :-).
BOTH STAN AND SHIRLEY WERE SUCH A BLESSING AS THEY RAISED THEIR CHILDREN WITH LOVE, THEY WERE ALL A VERY CLOSE FAMILY AND I WAS SO THANKFUL THAT SHIRLEY HAD ALL OF YOU GIRLS AND FAMILIES TO GET TOGETHER AND BE WITH HER. SHIRLEY OFTEN E-MAILED ME AFTER YOUR SPECIAL THANKSGIVING GATHERINGS, TO SAY HOW WONDERFUL IT WAS EVEN IF THE LAST YEARS SINCE STAN WENT TO BE WITH THE LORD, IT TIRED HER OUT...SHE AND I BOTH SAID IT WAS A WONDERFUL WAY TO BE TIRED AND HAPPY SHE HAD THOSE OPPORTUNITIES.
I JUST WANT TO THANK EACH ONE OF YOU FOR THE SPECIAL THINGS YOU DID TO BE THERE FOR YOUR MOM AND TO SHOW HER YOUR LOVE THAT YOU LEARNED FROM HER AND YOUR DAD.
YOU HAVE HAD A BLESSED LIFE.
I LOVE YOU ALL,
AUNT ARLENE & UNCLE BOB
