Steven Carl Yates

YATES, STEVEN CARL - of Rutledge, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church. Steve was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Dudley Carl and Auma Mae Watson Hammer; paternal grandparents, John Ernest and Mary Etna Dykes Yates; parents Joseph Edward and Betty Mae Hammer Yates. He is survived by wife of 17 years, Terri Cain Yates; sister and brother-in-law, Rebecca and Tommy Spain; nephew Chris Spain, all of Colonial Heights, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law, Rod and Anita Davis Yates, of Knoxville; nephew Andrew Joseph Yates of Tempe, Arizona; niece, Angela Davis Yates, of Knoxville; many relatives including special aunt and uncle, Charles and Nellie Owens; special cousin, Harold Watson; and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 31, 2006 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm followed by the funeral service. Interment will be 11:00 am, Saturday, April 1st at Blue Springs Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Maurice Quillen and Rev. Greg Williamson officiating.
