Theresa Diane Maxwell-Trundle, born to Rebecca Sligh Gillett and the late Kirk Trundle on December 22, 1955, in Cleveland, OH, went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. She moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, at the early age of two, with her mother and was adopted by David Gillett. She was of the Baptist faith, and worked as a caregiver to many. She attended Overcoming Believers Church until her health began to decline.

She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Rebecca Sligh Gillett; father, David Gillett; sisters, Sherra and Virginia Gillett, Uretha Gillett Michael, Kemetta Gillett Logan, Kisey, Sherry, Anita, Renee, Rick and Tony Trundle; several devoted nieces and nephews, Rico Gillett, Nayeshah Glover, Keondra Michael, Charles Chandler, Bryson and Aubrey Logan and Armani Hall; eleven great-nieces and nephews, all of Knoxville; a host of other relatives to include devoted cousins, Joseph Jones, Grace Lundy and Marie Glass and many friends to include devoted friends, Walter Johnson, Larry Pennington, Billy Humphrey and Michael Walker.

On Friday, October 21, 2016, the family will receive friends, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a funeral to follow at Overcoming Believers Church, 211 Harriet Tubman Street, Knoxville, TN 37915, with Pastor Daryl Arnold officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, where a white dove release will conclude the service. Flowers may be delivered to the church the morning of the service.
