Becky, Tom was our young, cool scoutmaster on all those hikes and trips to Camp Pellesippi. Always smiling, always laughing and always positive. A wonderful influence on young and impressionable souls like myself in the turbulent 60's. May his memory be eternal. Gary Spangler

Coach Addington/Mr. Addington made a tremendous impact on my life. He exemplified a true life with an energetic, fair, fun and competitive nature. He will always be my coach. Thankful that he also encouraged me in seeking the Lord and growing in Him. I'll miss seeing him out and about the area; he was truly salt and light in an ever-growing-darker world. Becky, Jennifer, Jimmy; I love you all and my heart breaks for you and yours during this time.

what Tom did for the troop and for my

He also introduced me to the game of golf and that has meant a lot. What a kind, fun, and giving individual. A really good man.

Becky, Jennifer, and Jim-
I am so sad to hear of Tom's passing. He always had a smile and warm hug to greet me while at EAUMC. He was always a fixture up near the front pew on Sunday mornings. He was a wonderful man and loved by so many. My heart goes out to you all--may God comfort you all at this sad time.

Words cannot describe the leadership, love, and direction that "Coach A" provided me throughout my young life. In fact, he fearlessly saved my young life when we were on a fishing trip on the Holston River when I was in middle school, and the dam opened without warning. He was a consummate role model for every life he touched, and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family in this time of need. Tom will be dearly missed on this earth. Thank you Coach, I owe a lot of what I am today to you, and your committment to me and our community over the years.

Coach A taught me many things as a young man. How to play soccer, how to win and loose with respect, how to work hard, and how to focus on what is important. He will be missed and loved. I pray my children have a coach love them as he loved his players. May the peace only The Lord can give comfort your family.
