ANGOLA - Ann E. Lebrecht, 82, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023, after a long battle with dementia.
She was born on June 5, 1941, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Clarence E. and Jane (Palmer) Keirns.
In 1959, Ann graduated from South Side High School in Fort Wayne. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Ball State University, Muncie, Indiana, and St. Francis University in Fort Wayne.
On March 22, 1961, she married her high school sweetheart, Theodore G. "Ted" Lebrecht. Together, their life was full of adventures.
They enjoyed all the outdoor activities living at the lake provided - boating, skiing, skating, sledding, to name a few. Their travels usually involved trips to National Parks, where they hiked and explored together. Ann enjoyed teaching school at Prairie Heights, playing cards with friends, reading and spoiling her many cats. But her greatest joy came from spending time with family - endlessly pulling skiers, watching grandchildren swim, and dishing out ice cream.
She is survived by her daughters, Laura (Mark) Wolski, of Apex, North Carolina, Betsy (Mike) Pitts, of Zionsville, Indiana, and Susan Coonan, of Angola, Indiana; her sister, Sara McCormack, of Madison, Wisconsin; seven beloved grandchildren, Matthew, Julia, Daniel, Rachel, Katie, Elana and Jenny; seven beloved great-grandchildren, Maya, Claire, Myles, Micah, Erin, Parker and Lucy; and her special companion, John Williamson, of Angola, Indiana.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 50 years; and two sisters, Barbara Brokaw and Mary McBride.

I´m sure somewhere I still have my writing journal and she helped me develop my reading and writing skills. I am not that great at communicating but I can write a book! Prayers for the family.
