Frances Watson Obituary

FREMONT — Frances Watson, age 81, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away at her home on Saturday, June 3, 2017.
She was born on July 1, 1935, in Smithville, Tennessee, the daughter of Oakley and Shirley Bell (Goolsby) Flat.
Frances married Walter L. Watson on July 4, 1958, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
She was a member of the Clear Lake Bible Church, and was active in the Women's Missionary Society. She enjoyed sewing and traveling.
Survivors include her husband, Walter L. Watson of Fremont, Indiana; a daughter, Peggy Gail Watson of Angola, Indiana; two grandsons, James Lint and Tristan Smith, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and five sisters, Joyce Crisp of Massillon, Ohio, Nancy Hoffman of Doylestown, Ohio, Marie Andrew of Barberton, Ohio, Doris Flat of Phoenix, Arizona, and Sue Hamilton of Menlo Park, California.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Smith; her parents, Oakley and Shirley Bell Flat; a sister, Geneva Flat; and a brother, Everett Flat.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Clear Lake Bible Church, 9050 E. County Road 700 North, Fremont, Indiana, with Pastor Voyle Hartleroad officiating. There will be one hour of calling prior to the services at the church from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at Covenanter Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.
Memorials in her memory are requested to the Clear Lake Bible Church.

I only just met this sweet girl when visiting w/sis Barbara. she was so gracious to me, a total stranger, and I so appreciate the warmnest of her entire family. we had some wonderful gab sessions and her wally rescued barb and I when we got lost. I shall hold them both in guarded memories.
