FREMONT - Fremont David Jones II, age 89, of Snow Lake, Fremont, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on March 14, 1935, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, son of the late Fremont David Jones I, and Marjorie (Augspurger) Jones.
David graduated from Fort Wayne Southside High School in 1953.
He married Sandra Lee Luttman on June 16, 1956.
David and Sandra were the longtime owners of Troy Cleaners in Fort Wayne, Indiana. They retired to Snow Lake and enjoyed spending their winters on Fort Myers Beach, Florida.
Survivors include children, Kimberly Tearney, of Fremont, Indiana, Fremont David (Amy) Jones III, of Sebago, Maine, and Hope (Rob) Skorupski, of Snow Lake, Fremont, Indiana; grandchildren, Justin (Rachael), Karly, Fremont IV, Garrett and Robert; and great-grandchildren, Bianca and Anthony; brothers, Steven Jones, Phillip Jones and Douglas Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Timothy Tearney; and a brother, Donald Jones.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
Memorial donations may be given in care of Parkview Packnett Family Cancer Institute, 11050 Parkview Circle, Fort Wayne, IN 46845, in part due to the care he received from Dr. Joseph McCollom, and his team.
