ANGOLA - Jennifer Lynne Pizer, 55, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, with her family right by her side.
Jennifer "Jenny" was born on June 29, 1969, to Kenneth Shelton and Lynne Hickman at Cameron Memorial Hospital.
Jenny graduated in 1988, from Angola High School and was a proud, lifelong Angola resident. Jenny loved her community, her friends, and most of all she loved her family.
If you were lucky enough to cross paths with Jenny, you couldn't help but be impacted by her overwhelming kind and caring soul. When you were in her presence you would instantly feel comforted and cared for. Jennifer was a tremendously loving, generous person. She loved life, celebrating the good times, and getting through the difficult ones with her family every step of the way. Jenny's family was the absolute most important thing in her life. She enjoyed taking drives and listening to music with her daughter, Katie, talking and laughing with her sons, Nick and Tyler, celebrating holidays together, being outside on the porch at her mom's house, spending time with her grandchildren, and being with her best friend Carla. Jenny had a love for painting and was very good at it. She loved living and she loved making people happy.
Jennifer leaves behind three children, Tyler Derouin, Nick Pizer and Katie Pizer, who she loved with every fiber of her being; two grandchildren, Willow and Emry Derouin; her mother, Lynne Hickman (Shelton); father, Kenneth Shelton; stepfather, Richard "Dick" Hickman; stepmother, Karen Shelton; sister, Nichole Hickman Covey; nephew, Keaton Shelton; nieces, Rachel Parr and Rian Neely; great-nephews, Mykah Shelton, Liam Parr and Lane Parr; and her four fur babies, Cooper, Ian, Izzy and Isaac.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her brother, Scott Shelton.
The family will be having a private service and funeral on Friday, July 12, 2024.
There will be a public Celebration of Life party thrown in honor of Jenny, per her wishes, at Selman Timber Frame Pavilion on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 7-9 p.m.
If you knew Jenny, please come join the family in honoring her by coming together, celebrating life, and remembering Jenny and the all the amazing times we had the opportunity to share with her.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jennifer's children, in care of Tyler Derouin.
To say she will be greatly missed is an understatement. She will never be forgotten. Her memory and spirit will always carry on in the lives and hearts of her family.
