Joshua Lash

KENDALLVILLE — Joshua Bryant Lash, age 37, of Kendallville died on Sunday, December 7, 2014, at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville, Indiana.
Josh was born in Kendallville, Indiana, on November 24, 1977, to Jerry and Kelley (Cross) Lash.
He graduated from East Noble High School in 1996 and worked as an operator in the waste water treatment plants for the City of Kendallville and the City of Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Josh also worked at Kraft Foods in Kendallville for three years.
Josh was a lifetime Kendallville volunteer firefighter. He loved being involved with the Kendallville Fire Department and he took a fire investigation classes when he was able.
He was passionate about the gunsmithing and was taking an online coarse to become certified. Josh loved woodworking, playing softball, and bowling on the Fire Department bowling league.
Josh was very close to his daughter, Jenna, and loved spending time with her.
He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville.
Survivors include his daughter, Jenna Lash of Kendallville; his mother and father, Kelley and Jerry Lash of Kendallville; his sister and brother-in-law, Cassandra and Brandon Lash of Avilla; nephews, Ethan, Baily and Elijah Lash, all of Avilla; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Lash of Kendallville; maternal grandmother, Pauline Cross of Kendallville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Ormond Lash, and maternal grandfather, Thomas Cross
Visitation will be Thursday, December 11, 2014, from 2-8 p.m. at Hite Funeral Home in Kendallville.
No funeral service is scheduled.
Preferred memorials may be made to college scholarship fund for Jenna.
